Which countries allow dependents to accompany students, especially for my case with a son in UK/Ireland for a Master's/PhD?

It depends on the country.

For Ireland, dependents (like your son) are generally not allowed to accompany Master's students. Only PhD students or those on specific, government-backed programs may bring immediate family, and strong financial proof is required. This policy is subject to change.

Other popular study destinations - such as Canada, Australia, and the UK - typically have more flexible policies. These countries often allow international students to bring dependents, and spouses may be eligible for work rights.

If bringing your son is essential, discuss your priorities with your LeapScholar counsellor to identify the best country and program for your needs.
