When does the whole application process start and by when should I complete all my exams to begin applying in Germany?

For the Winter Semester 2027/28 in Germany (starting October 2027), applications typically open in early May 2027 and close by July 15, 2027.

To stay on track:
- Complete required exams (like IELTS) by December 2026 to ensure you have your results before applications open.
- Start preparing your documents and application materials in early 2027 so you’re ready to apply as soon as the window opens.

As an Indian applicant, you’ll also need the APS (Academic Evaluation Centre) certificate, which can take 6 - 12 weeks - begin this process early.
