Options If You Missed It
- Extra rounds in winter: Finnish institutions are allowed to open extra application periods in November and December for seats that stay empty.
- Rolling admission: a few programs take applications outside the joint rounds, and you can find them by filtering Studyinfo.fi by start date.
- Switching to autumn 2027: the application window scheduled for 7 to 21 January 2027 usually offers many more courses and gives you more time to prepare documents.
My Advice
Do not panic if you missed the deadline. The winter round is smaller than autumn, so many students find they are better off waiting for autumn 2027, which has more seats and courses. Check Studyinfo.fi and each institution's page for the latest dates.
