It depends. Both collateral (secured) and non-collateral (unsecured) education loans are options for studying in Germany.

- Collateral loans offer higher amounts (up to ₹1.5 crore or more) and lower interest rates (typically 8.5% - 10.5%/year), but require you to pledge an asset and take longer to process.
- Non-collateral loans are faster, require no asset, and usually go up to ₹75 lakh or more, but have slightly higher interest rates (typically 9% - 12.5%/year) and need a financially stable co-applicant.

With your strong academics and work experience, you may qualify for a non-collateral loan, but choose collateral if you need a larger amount or lower rate.

Documents typically required:
- Passport and proof of residence
- Academic records (10th, 12th, graduation, admission letter)
- Financial documents (salary slips, IT returns, bank statements)
- Co-applicant’s ID and financials (for non-collateral)
- Property documents (for collateral loans)

Document lists and loan terms are subject to change by lender and profile.
