What is the syllabus for the GMAT exam?
The GMAT exam tests your readiness for graduate management programs through three main sections:
- Quantitative Reasoning (45 min, 21 questions): Covers arithmetic (number properties, percentages, ratios, basic statistics) and algebra (equations, inequalities, functions, permutations, combinations).
- Verbal Reasoning (45 min, 23 questions): Focuses on reading comprehension (analyzing passages, main ideas, inferences) and critical reasoning (evaluating arguments, logical conclusions).
- Data Insights (45 min, 20 questions): Includes data sufficiency, table analysis, multi-source reasoning, graphics interpretation, and two-part analysis.
The GMAT Focus Edition has removed the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) and Sentence Correction, emphasizing data analysis and critical reasoning.
