What is the syllabus for BMAT and which universities require it in Germany?

The BMAT (BioMedical Admissions Test) has been discontinued as of 2024 and is no longer required for university admissions.
Previously, the BMAT covered:
- Aptitude and Skills: Problem-solving, understanding arguments, and data analysis.
- Scientific Knowledge and Applications: Biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics up to age 16.
- Writing Task: Essay on a given topic to assess communication and idea development.
Universities that once required the BMAT included Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, UCL, and others. These institutions now use alternative tests, mainly the UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test).
For your interest in Germany, the BMAT is not needed.
