What is the status of my English language exam preparation (IELTS or PTE) and when should I take it in Canada for a Master's?

You have not yet started preparing for your English language test (IELTS or PTE), which is required for your Master's application in Canada.

For the February 2027 intake, aim to take your test by September 2026. This gives you enough time for preparation and to receive your results before university deadlines.

Both IELTS Academic (minimum overall 6.5, no band below 6.0) and PTE Academic (minimum overall 65, no component below 60) are widely accepted, but exact requirements may vary by university and are subject to change.
