What is the post-study work visa duration for Malta?
You can stay in Malta for up to 9 months after completing a full-time, accredited course by applying for a Job Search Permit (post-study work visa). This permit allows you to seek employment related to your field of study during this period.
You are not allowed to work full-time until you secure a job offer and your employer applies for a Single Permit on your behalf. The Job Search Permit cannot be extended beyond 9 months, so you must transition to a work permit within this timeframe to continue staying and working in Malta.
If you need help with the application process or requirements, please contact your LeapScholar counsellor.
