Here’s a clear overview of the UK student visa process, including medical and financial requirements:

You must first receive an unconditional offer and a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from your UK university.

- Financial documents: Show proof of funds for tuition and living expenses (currently £1,329/month for London or £1,023/month outside London, up to 9 months) plus your first-year tuition. These funds must be held for at least 28 consecutive days before you apply. Figures are subject to change.

- Medical test: Indian students must take a tuberculosis (TB) test at a UKVI-approved clinic. The certificate must be recent (within 6 months of your application).

- Application: Complete the online visa application, pay the visa fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS, currently £776/year, subject to change).

- Biometrics: Attend a VFS Global centre in India to submit your fingerprints and photograph.

Standard processing takes about 3 weeks after biometrics. Make sure all documents are accurate to avoid delays. If you need help, contact your LeapScholar counsellor.
