What is the fee structure for public universities in Germany in Indian rupees for a Bachelor's/Master's?
Most public universities in Germany do not charge tuition fees for international students, including those from India. Instead, you pay a semester contribution of about €150 - €400/semester (roughly ₹13,000 - ₹35,000/semester, subject to change). This covers administration and student services.
Exceptions:
- Baden-Württemberg: Non-EU students pay €1,500/semester (about ₹1.3 lakh/semester) plus the semester contribution.
- Technical University of Munich (TUM) from Winter 2024/25:
- Bachelor’s: €2,000 - €3,000/semester (₹1.7 - ₹2.6 lakh)
- Master’s: €4,000 - €6,000/semester (₹3.5 - ₹5.2 lakh)
All fees are subject to change.
