As of March 15, 2026, you need at least 70% in your Class 12 board exams to be eligible for the mandatory APS certificate for undergraduate studies in Germany. This applies to all Indian boards (CBSE, ICSE, and state boards) and is required before you can apply to German universities or for a student visa.

However, actual university admission cutoffs can be higher and vary by institution and program. Meeting the 70% APS requirement does not guarantee admission - each university sets its own criteria.
