German universities generally have two main intakes each year:
- Winter Semester (starts in October): Applications usually open in early May and close by July 15.
- Summer Semester (starts in April): Applications typically open in early December and close by January 15.
For Indian students, allow extra time for the mandatory APS Certificate (processing can take 6 - 12 weeks) and Uni-Assist application processing (4 - 8 weeks). These timelines are subject to change.
