You must show proof of sufficient funds for a German student visa. As of 2026, you need to demonstrate €11,904 (covering €992/month for 12 months).

Accepted financial proofs include:
- Blocked Account (Sperrkonto): Deposit the full €11,904; withdrawals limited to €992/month after arrival.
- Education Loan: Fully sanctioned loan from a recognized bank; provide the official sanction letter.
- Parental/Sponsor Support: Recent bank statements, income certificates, and a formal support declaration from your parents or sponsor.
- Scholarship Letter: Official confirmation covering at least the required amount.

Personal savings or standalone bank statements are usually not accepted. You’ll also need your admission letter, passport, health insurance, and visa application form.
