What documents will universities require from me for the application, such as predicted marks or professional degrees for a Master's?
You will typically need the following documents for your master's application to German universities:
- Bachelor’s degree certificate and transcripts (or provisional/predicted marks certificate if your degree is ongoing)
- Proof of language proficiency: IELTS/TOEFL for English-taught programs, TestDaF/DSH for German-taught
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- 2 - 3 Letters of Recommendation (LORs)
- APS certificate (mandatory for Indian students)
- Copy of valid passport
- Passport-sized photographs
- Proof of financial resources
- Medium of Instruction certificate (if applicable)
- Professional degrees or certificates (if relevant to your field)
All documents should be officially certified and translated into English or German if required. Provisional or predicted marks are accepted if your final results are pending, but you must submit final certificates before enrollment.
