What documents must I prepare to apply for MBBS in the UK?

You do not send individual documents to UK colleges. You type your Personal Statement into the UCAS Portal, and one academic reference is uploaded by your school counsellor or teacher. Prepare attested mark sheets, reference letters, IELTS, TOEFL or PTE and UCAT scores, and proof of funds.

When you apply to a UK undergraduate course, you do not post separate documents to each college. You enter your Personal Statement straight into the UCAS Portal, and it is a different piece of writing from a Statement of Purpose.

Documents to Prepare

DocumentDetail
Mark sheetsAttested copies of Class X and XII or any other diploma
Academic reference lettersFrom professors who have taught you most recently
Test scoresIELTS, TOEFL or PTE, and the UCAT exam
Proof of fundsFinancial documents such as bank statements

How UCAS Handles Them

  • Your Personal Statement is typed into the UCAS Portal.
  • Only one academic reference letter is required, and your school counsellor or teacher uploads it directly into the UCAS portal.
  • Keep the other documents ready for later stages of the process.

My Advice

Gather your documents early and ask your referee well ahead of the deadline. Check the official UCAS and university pages for the latest requirements.
