You must show proof of funds and tuition fee payment when applying for a German student visa. As of Jan 2025, you need to demonstrate €11,904/year (about €992/month) for living expenses.

To prove financial resources, you can use:
- Blocked account: Confirmation of the full amount deposited with a German bank.
- Sponsor in Germany: Formal declaration of commitment (“Verpflichtungserklärung”) with creditworthiness verified.
- Scholarship: Official award letter covering at least €992/month.

For tuition fees (if applicable), provide:
- University payment receipt for the first two semesters,
- Education loan agreement covering fees, or
- Additional deposit in your blocked account.

Documents must be originals or certified copies, with certified translations if not in German or English. Requirements are subject to change. For help with documentation, contact your LeapScholar counsellor.
