What certificates and scores do I need to have ready before the application starts in April or May in Germany?
You’ll need the following documents and scores ready before applying for a Master’s in Germany (September 2027 intake):
- Academic transcripts and degree certificates from 10th, 12th, and your Bachelor’s (with certified English or German translations if needed)
- Proof of English proficiency (e.g., IELTS Academic 6.5 overall, no band below 6.0; or TOEFL iBT 90+; subject to change by program)
- APS certificate (required for Indian applicants; processing takes 6 - 10 weeks)
- CV and Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- 2 - 3 Letters of Recommendation
- GRE scores if your chosen program requires them
