You can stay and work after your degree in both the UK and Australia, but the options and durations differ:

United Kingdom:
- Graduate Visa (Post-Study Work Visa): Stay up to 2 years after your degree (3 years for PhD). From 1 Jan 2027, this will reduce to 18 months for new applicants (subject to change).
- Skilled Worker Visa: If you secure an eligible job offer, you can work in the UK for up to 5 years.

Australia:
- Temporary Graduate Visa (subclass 485): Stay up to 4 years (Bachelor’s), 5 years (Master’s), or 6 years (Doctorate). Some degrees may get an extra 2 years (subject to change).
- Skilled Migration Pathways: With work experience, you may qualify to apply for permanent residency via skilled migration visas.

Visa rules are subject to change. For next steps or personalized guidance, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
