Visa approval rates for Indian students are currently much higher for the UK than the USA.
- United Kingdom: About 96% approval for student visas in 2025, with only a 4% rejection rate. This is consistent with previous years and reflects a stable, favorable environment.
- United States: The F-1 visa rejection rate for Indian applicants rose to 61% in 2025, up sharply from 36% in 2023. Approval is now more difficult and competitive.
These figures are subject to change, but as of now, the UK offers a significantly higher chance of student visa approval for Indian applicants.
