Post-study work options for physiotherapy graduates differ by country and are subject to change:

- USA: OPT (Optional Practical Training) allows up to 12 months of work after graduation. STEM graduates may be eligible for a 24-month extension (total 36 months). Long-term work requires employer sponsorship (H-1B visa), which is competitive and capped.

- Australia: Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) offers:
- Graduate Work Stream: valid 1.5 years for skills on the Skilled Occupation List.
- Post-Study Work Stream: valid 2 - 4 years, depending on qualification and location.

- France: APS (Autorisation Provisoire de Séjour) allows 12 months of full-time work for non-EU graduates of master’s and some bachelor’s programs. Longer stays require a qualifying job offer and a new permit.

- Netherlands: Orientation Year (Zoekjaar) permit allows one year to live and work after graduation, no job offer needed.

- New Zealand: Post Study Work Visa allows up to 3 years of open work rights, depending on qualification and study duration.
