A Singapore internship during your master's changes your starting offer more than an extra elective does, employers here consistently favour candidates with local project or internship exposure over coursework alone. If VLSI or semiconductor roles interest you, learn Verilog or SystemVerilog and a Cadence or Synopsys tool before graduating, since that is the single most common gap between average and top of range offers.
