To study in Canada, you must prove English language proficiency with a standardized test. The main options are IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, and PTE Academic. Minimum scores depend on your program and university, but typical requirements are:

- IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) for undergraduate, 7.0 overall (no band below 6.5) for postgraduate
- TOEFL iBT: 83+ for undergraduate, 90+ for postgraduate
- PTE Academic: 60+ for undergraduate, 65+ for postgraduate

For the Student Direct Stream (SDS) visa, you need IELTS Academic 6.0 overall (no band below 6.0).

Requirements are subject to change and some programs may set higher standards. For personalized guidance, connect with your LeapScholar counsellor.
