English language requirements differ for Ireland and Germany:

Ireland:
You must show proof of English proficiency for study visas. Typical minimum scores (subject to change) are:
- IELTS Academic: 5.0 overall
- TOEFL iBT: 61
- PTE Academic: 30
- Duolingo: 55

Universities may set higher requirements. Test scores must be recent (within 2 years of your course start).

Germany:
Requirements depend on your program's language:
- English-taught: Usually need IELTS (6.0 - 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (80 - 95).
- German-taught: Need German proficiency (B2 or C1), proven by tests like TestDaF or Goethe-Zertifikat.

Some universities may accept other certificates. Requirements are subject to change.
