What English proficiency tests are accepted for a student visa to the UAE, and which ones are most widely recognized by universities there?
→The UAE student visa is sponsored by your university, not tied to a specific English test, but you must first clear that university's language requirement to get sponsorship. IELTS Academic and TOEFL iBT are the most widely recognized, while EmSAT Achieve English is required specifically by federal public universities.
Have you taken any English language tests like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo in UAE for a Master's/Postgraduate?
→UAE test centers across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah offer IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and Duolingo for postgraduate applicants. PTE results usually arrive within twenty four to forty eight hours, while competitive programs like MBAs often require an IELTS overall score of 7.0 or 7.5.
Is IELTS or TOEFL compulsory for studying in UK, UAE, and Malaysia?
→Most universities in the UK, UAE, and Malaysia require an English language test like IELTS or TOEFL. Some may offer exemptions if your previous degrees were taught in English, so with your background, you should check each university’s specific rules. Review admission requirements on university sites and contact admissions to see if you qualify for a waiver before applying.
