No, you do not have to study for three years in the UK to be eligible for a work visa after graduation.
The UK's Graduate Route visa (post-study work visa) allows you to stay and work after completing an eligible course:
- Undergraduate or Master's degree: 2 years if you apply on or before 31 December 2026; 18 months if you apply on or after 1 January 2027 (subject to change).
- PhD or doctoral degree: 3 years.
