Should I join flight school or college to become eligible for a post-graduate work permit in Canada?

For the best chance of getting a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada, enrolling in a recognized college or university program that meets PGWP criteria is generally more reliable than flight school.

Flight schools can make you eligible for a PGWP only if:
- You graduate from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) flight training centre.
- You obtain a Canadian commercial pilot's licence.
- You have, or are in the process of getting, an instructor's rating with a job offer as a flight instructor from a DLI flight training centre.

If PGWP eligibility is your main goal, college or university programs are usually the safer option.
