The September intake is the right choice for almost every student who has the time to plan properly. The two most common mistakes I see are applying too late (after February for a September start) and missing scholarship deadlines because you did not know they close months before the university admission deadline. My strong advice: treat November to February as your core application window, even though the official deadline is often May or June. The best programs at Edinburgh, Warwick, Leeds, and Manchester fill their cohorts well before the technical closing date. Applying in January gives you a real choice; applying in May gives you whatever is left.
