My degree is interdisciplinary (Business Analytics, Engineering Management, dual-major). How do I know if dMAT applies to me?

Do not assume based on your program's common name or subject overlap. APS India classifies eligibility using the official degree title and branch printed on your certificate and transcripts, not the specialization you describe in a counselling call or the name a consultant uses.

Check the official wording first

Start by checking your exact degree wording against APS India's official Affected Fields List. Interdisciplinary titles like Business Analytics, Engineering Management, or a dual-major can sit on either side of the requirement depending on how the degree is officially classified, so the list is your first reference point.

When to email APS India

If it is still ambiguous after that, email APS India directly (info@aps-india.de) for written clarification before you register for the dMAT or pay the €150 fee. Registering "just to be safe" wastes money if your field was never covered in the first place, since the fee is not refunded once the deregistration window closes.

My Advice

Send the clarification email to APS India this week, not closer to the registration deadline. Written responses can take time, and you do not want your eligibility question still unresolved when seats in your preferred city start filling up.
