Is there any issue with my IELTS score regarding my eligibility for masters abroad in New Zealand for a Master's?
For most master's programs in New Zealand, you typically need an IELTS overall score of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
Some universities may accept an overall 6.0 if no band is below 5.5, but this is less common. Certain fields - like education, law, nursing, medicine, and social work - often require a higher IELTS score (7.0 - 7.5).
If your score is below the required minimum, you may be offered conditional admission with a pre-sessional English course. All New Zealand universities also accept the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic as an alternative.
