No, the IELTS exam is not free - there is a fee to take the test.
- ₹19,000 for IELTS Academic or General Training (from April 1, 2026)
- ₹19,250 for IELTS for UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration)
- ₹18,000 for IELTS Life Skills (A1/B1) for UK spouse or family visas
These fees are subject to change. The paper-based IELTS test will be discontinued after June 26, 2026.
