The IELTS test is conducted by authorized test agencies, not by universities. In India, these agencies include British Council, IDP, and Cambridge Assessment English centers.
As of July 2026, the IELTS exam fee is ₹19,000 for Academic or General Training, and ₹19,250 for the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) version. Fees are subject to change.
