Yes, IELTS scores are valid for two years from your test date. After this period, most universities and immigration authorities require a new IELTS result to confirm your English proficiency is current.

This two-year validity applies to both Academic and General Training IELTS tests, as well as IELTS for UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration). Some organizations may consider older scores if you can prove continuous English use, but this is rare.

If your IELTS has expired, you'll need to retake the test. There is no option to extend or renew an expired IELTS score.
