Is the blocked account required for one year or two years of living expenses?

You are required to deposit the blocked account amount for one year of living expenses when applying for a German student visa.

- €11,904 is the current standard, covering €992/month for 12 months.
- After arrival, you receive €992/month from the account for your expenses.
- For later years, you may need to show updated financial proof, but only one year's amount is required upfront.
