Is the original degree certificate mandatory for university admission and visa application?
The original degree certificate is not always mandatory at the initial stage of university applications. If your final degree is not yet issued, you can usually apply using your semester-wise mark sheets along with a provisional certificate or official result issued by your university. Most universities accept these documents while processing your application.
You can also proceed with your visa application using a provisional degree or official completion certificate in many cases, as long as it clearly confirms that you have completed your program. However, you may be required to submit proof of the final degree certificate to the university at a later stage once it is available.
