Yes, Indian students can get a UK study visa, which is the most accessible route. After enrolling in a UK university and receiving an unconditional offer, you can apply for a Student visa. This allows you to study and work part-time during your course.

After graduation, you can apply for the Graduate Route visa (post-study work visa), which lets you stay and work in the UK for up to two years (three years for PhD graduates) without a job offer. This 2-year period applies to applications made before 1 January 2027; applications submitted on or after that date receive 18 months, while PhD graduates continue to receive 3 years.

Direct work visas are more difficult, as they require a job offer from a UK employer and meeting specific skill and salary criteria. The study-to-work pathway is the most practical option for most applicants.
