Is it possible to apply for UK student visa if I want to take my husband along with me for a Postgraduate/PhD?
It depends on your course and funding. In the UK, you can bring your husband as a dependant on your student visa only if:
- You are enrolled in a full-time postgraduate research degree (such as a PhD, MPhil, or research-based Master's) lasting 9 months or more, or
- You are a government-sponsored student on a full-time course lasting at least 6 months.
If you are pursuing a regular taught Master's or undergraduate program without government sponsorship, your husband generally cannot join you on a dependant visa.
If eligible, your husband must apply for a dependant visa, provide proof of your relationship, and show sufficient funds for his stay.
