It depends. For many master's programs in the US and UK, an overall IELTS score of 7.0 - 7.5 is required, especially at top universities. Your current overall score is 6.5, with a 6.0 in writing, which is below the typical threshold for competitive programs.

Retaking the IELTS to aim for a 7.5 overall - and improving your writing score - would strengthen your application and expand your options. Some universities also set minimum scores for each section.

If you have specific target programs, your counsellor can help confirm their exact IELTS requirements and advise on your next steps.
