Is it better to pursue LLM again in the UK instead of PhD due to difficulty for a LLB?

A second LLM in the UK is generally more practical than a PhD if you are concerned about difficulty and recent academic experience.

- LLM: One-year, coursework-based, and suited for professionals looking to deepen expertise or specialize. With your LLB and 48 months of work experience, entry is straightforward, and it can strengthen your profile for legal roles.
- PhD: Three to four years, research-intensive, and requires a strong recent academic record and a clear research proposal. Returning after a six-year gap may be challenging without recent academic engagement.

If your aim is career advancement or specialization, a second LLM is typically the better choice. If you’re set on a research or academic path and ready for the demands, a PhD could be considered but will be more challenging.
