Is it better to do one year masters abroad than two years in India in UK for a Master's?

If you want global exposure and can manage the costs, a one-year master’s abroad (like in the UK) can be a great choice. However, keep in mind that a one-year master’s is often not considered equivalent to a two-year Indian master's, which could affect recognition if you return to India. If you want a degree fully recognized in India, a two-year master’s here might be better.
