Is it better to do a one-year double master's degree instead of a two-year program in UK?

Choosing between a one-year double master's and a two-year single master's in the UK depends on your career goals, budget, and how much practical experience you want.

- One-year double master's: Faster and often less expensive overall, but the intensive schedule may limit internships or hands-on projects. - Two-year single master's: Higher tuition and living costs, but more time for internships, research, and deeper specialization - helpful for employability.

Post-study work visa (PSW): For courses ending by 31 December 2026, you get a two-year PSW. From 1 January 2027, this reduces to 18 months (subject to change).

If you want to enter the workforce quickly with dual credentials, the one-year option is efficient. If you value practical experience and deeper study, the two-year program is better.
