I have not taken IELTS or Duolingo yet; can you suggest which English proficiency test I should take in Canada/New Zealand for a Master's?
IELTS Academic and PTE Academic are the most widely accepted English proficiency tests for master's applications in both New Zealand and Canada. TOEFL iBT is also accepted by many universities in these countries.
PTE Academic is fully computer-based and provides quick results, which some students find more convenient. IELTS offers a traditional format with a face-to-face speaking section and is accepted everywhere.
Duolingo English Test is growing in popularity, especially for New Zealand, but is not yet widely accepted for Canadian university admissions or visa applications.
