You can take the IELTS exam as many times as you wish - there is no official limit on the number of attempts. Each attempt requires a new registration and payment of the exam fee.
Current IELTS exam fees in India (subject to change):
- IELTS Academic/General Training: ₹19,000
- IELTS for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI): ₹19,250
- IELTS Life Skills (A1/B1): ₹18,000
- One Skill Retake (OSR): ₹12,650
