How many questions will I face in the GMAT Focus Edition and how is the time split?

You will answer 64 questions in all on the GMAT Focus Edition, spread across three sections that each get their own 45 minute block. Your total seated time comes to 135 minutes, and you also get a 10 minute optional break to reset between sections. Knowing this split in advance helps you pace each section instead of rushing through one and running out of time on another.

All Questions Are Multiple Choice

Every one of the 64 questions is in multiple choice format and carries equal weight toward your score, and there is no separate essay or writing task in this version of the exam. You can also choose the order in which you attempt your three sections when you sit for the test.

My Advice

Since each section gets exactly 45 minutes regardless of how many questions it holds, practice pacing yourself section by section rather than treating the whole test as one long block. Pick the section order that plays to your strengths first, so you walk into your weaker section with confidence and time still on your side.
