Your IELTS score can be up to 24 months (2 years) old for German university applications. You do not need to retake it if it is older than 6 months, as long as it is still within this 2-year validity period at the time of your application and enrollment.

If your score is older than 2 years, you will need to retake the IELTS to meet the language requirements.
