- NUS divides its MBBS into three phases. Phase I covers foundation sciences, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and clinical communication. Phase II covers systems-based learning, pathology, pharmacology and early clinical exposure. Phase III covers clinical rotations in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry and other specialties.
- NTU follows an integrated, patient-centered approach with team-based learning and case discussions, early patient interaction, hospital placements and clerkships, and clinical rotations across major specialties.
- Duke-NUS combines pre-clinical medical sciences, research training, clinical immersion, advanced clerkships and specialty-focused electives.
My Advice
Choose by your entry point. If you are applying after school, look at the 5-year MBBS routes, and if you already hold a degree, look at the 4-year MD. Confirm eligibility on each school's official page.
