How is it possible that most masters civil engineering courses in Germany, like at Dresden or Kips universities, are taught in English despite the German language requirement for a Master's?

Most master's programs in civil engineering at German universities, including Technische Universität Dresden, are taught entirely in English to attract international students.

However, a basic level of German is often required for daily life outside the classroom. While your academic courses will be in English, universities may ask for some German proficiency to help you integrate and manage everyday situations in Germany.

If you have questions about language requirements for your target universities, your LeapScholar counsellor can guide you.
