Public universities in Germany do not use the BMAT exam for admissions. The BMAT was discontinued in 2023 and is no longer part of the selection process.
Selection is based on:
- Academic qualifications: You need a recognized higher education entrance qualification for your chosen program.
- Language proficiency: Proof of German (TestDaF, DSH) or English (IELTS, TOEFL) language skills, depending on the course language.
- Additional requirements: Some programs may require aptitude tests or interviews, especially in fields like medicine.
- Application route: You may apply directly, through Uni-Assist, or via Hochschulstart.de for certain restricted programs.
