A one-year MBA in the UK offers the best balance of global recognition, time efficiency, and post-study work opportunities for Indian students.

- India: One-year MBAs (like those at IIMs) are cost-effective (₹25 - 30 lakh) and valued domestically, but offer limited international exposure and post-study work options.
- US: One-year MBAs are rare, expensive ($60,000 - 90,000), and US programs are mostly two years. However, they provide strong global recognition and up to three years of post-study work (OPT), subject to change.
- UK: One-year MBAs are common, globally respected, and cost £40,000 - 80,000. The UK’s Graduate Route visa currently allows up to two years of post-study work (reducing to 18 months for September 2026 intake and beyond). This 2-year period applies to applications made before 1 January 2027; applications submitted on or after that date receive 18 months, while PhD graduates continue to receive 3 years.

Choose based on your target job market and budget.
