How do I apply for the license? I have no idea what it is. in Germany?
In Germany, international students need a student residence permit (not a "license") to study. You first apply for a student visa in India, then get your residence permit after arriving in Germany.
- Before arrival: Apply for a student visa at the German embassy or consulate in India. You’ll need your passport, admission letter, proof of finances, and health insurance.
- After arrival: Register your address, then apply for the student residence permit at the local foreigners’ office. This permit covers your study duration and can be renewed.
Visa and residence permit rules are subject to change.
