No, the BMAT (Biomedical Admissions Test) is not required for software and IT courses in Germany's APS (Academic Evaluation Centre) process. The BMAT is only for medical-related programs.

For Master's programs in software and IT, the new dMAT (Digital Master Test) may apply, but if your Bachelor's degree is in Computer Science or Information Technology, you are exempt from the dMAT requirement.
